It's been five weeks. I've been going out with Phillipe for five weeks now. The night of the last post I made there was some talking and we decided to just go for it. Am I ever glad I did.
This is not something I'm going to mess up, it's too good to just throw away. We're both in this for the long run and although I'm nervous about everything we're talking it all through. He's the most gentle person I've ever known and we fit so well it scares me.
Forgive me for my absence but this gals in love.

I went out for a couple of pints with a guy I work with last night. Ended up chatting till 2:30 and then he was a sweetheart and gave me a lift home (soooo out of his way).
Then I check my email this morning. Apparently he really likes me. really really. I have no friggen clue how to proceed. He's a cool guy but I work with him pretty close every night. If something were to happen it would be so uncomfortable.
He mentioned it would be fine if I wasn't interested and be just great friends. But I'm just worried :(:(

We now have Battlefiled 2 installed on the computer (after having to update our video card) and it's amazingly addictive. The online is so juch damn fun. I also got my copy of ssx 3 which is nice so I can putter around on my ps2 again and wait the long while for the ps3 to come around. Just as well, there's a fair amount of saving to be done beforehand.
School starts back up tomorrow but my courses are online so that's a blessing considering I get sever panic attacks when I go to school. Huzzah!
Work is work is work.
News about the Silent Hill movie is dead even though they're filming it now. I have yet to see a photo of Sean Bean from the set and it gets me all itchy waiting for it to happen. There's only so many pics of the set garbage cans I can take.
As you can tell, I have nothing to say, I'm just doing this so ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) purplemonkeez will stop bugging me about updating. HYPOCRITE!

What was with all the hate for Constantine when it came out? My brother just bought the dvd and I thought it was really good...in a comic-turned-movie way.

and dudes, Sideways was waaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated. It was boring and pointless. My quota for middle-age nakedness has been filled for a lifetime.

Spent the day with dad out and about the city. There was an article in the paper this morning about a festoval going on and while this isn't uncommon (hah) it did seem pretty interesting. The Archeology centre was holding a 18th century festival.
There were dozens on stalls set up selling all sorts of food and handicrafts as they were made in 18th century Montreal. The mead and birch beer were especially good. They had lots of actors dressed up in heavy wool clothing and big wood shoes walking around, three military battalions (one plaing military music, one lounging around in a camp, and one doing military marches and firing away thei muskets) and of course all the proud handicraft owners selling thir wares.
Tonnes of tourists!
Fun fun fun. Tooks some pictures but it was hard considering how many people were there. They're in my photostream in Flickr but don't have their own category yet.

We walked around some more and went out for dinner. If you're ever in Old Montreal and plan on dinner don't, I repeat DON'T, go to Le Senateur. Ugh. Horrible food. Apart from that it was a darn goo day.

A couple of days ago the man we lease the upper level to came rushing down and told us to call 911. We had no idea what was happening and apparently their phone upstairs wouldn't work. Dad finally got through and a few minutes later the ambulance came and they took the lady with them.
We've had these tenants for many years and we've never had any considerable problems with them but I still couldn't stand the woman. She seemed like she was in her late 50's and acted like she was a teenager. I just found out she was 73. She smoked like a chimney, drank like it was water and constantly partied all night long in the most ridiculous leopard print clothes that were like a second-skin.
She was always curteous with me even though she was almost completely deaf (but wouldn't admit to it) but her voice always scared me. It was a lung cancer throat. If you've ever heard a woman with lung cancer then you know what I'm talking about.
Turns out it's not lung cancer that was the problem. She had a massive stroke. After they brought her in she had four more.
Now she's braindead.
That was a hell of a shocker. Even though I've complained about them almost every day (their fights are legendary)) I would never have expected or wanted this to happen.
I really don't know what to think. It's strange how you can live in the same house with a family for over 15 years and know almost nothing about them. It's sad.

After returning from my trip a few weeks back I've been out of commission with a rather horrible chest infection. I was in no condition to do anything but I still had to work, nearly killing myself in the process. The heavy-duty antibiotics and inhalers worked like a charm and I'm back in action for another week of work.
It seems like a lot has happened in my absence :( Mass defiending and drama in lj-land (I don't hold grudges about being defriended, I know I haven't been very active lately, but it still stings a little to see the names gone), love2heart took off to europe for a few weeks, purplemonkeez returned from her summer-long trip in Ireland, and the packages never seemed to arrive to the people I sent them to (most notably undrockroll's which was something a little special).
Well, so much for a happy return. Lj-land is not the place it used to be. Drama, drama everywhere. I think some people just get too invested in something that was started for a little fun and naughty after-school reading. Maybe it's for the best.

I got back from my "vacation" on monday and have been trying to regain some semblance of being a human ever since. I was sick the entire time and am still getting over it. I did take some really cool photos that I'll post once I get around to resizing them.
From the little bit of lj that I tried to catch up on....I think people really, REALLY need to chill the fuck out. Whatever happened to not making mountains out of molehills?
p.s. there's nothing better than spending some much needed quality time with the dadster over some prime Japanese food and excess of sake.
there's much to tell but I'm too damn tired.

It's 41 degrees outside. I want to puke it's so hot. This wouldn't be so bad if I could hibernate all night but I have to get ready for work and make a hour long trip on public transportation with all the other stinky people.
With a migraine.
I very much don't like today. At all.
3 day weekend yo! Now just make the next two days whiz by tyvm.

hmm...I've been a little busy lately. I've actually been doing stuff that's productive! *shock! horror!*
My hands are mostly healed from the burn and the cut but I managed to pull a muscle in my foot and got a gash rubbed into my heel. I swear I never win. Both happened while I was on a mini-trek around town with purplemonkeez but I didn't want to complain to her too much so I tried to keep it on the down-low yo. We went to one of my favorite asian candy shops and picked up some stuff. Now I'm all sugared out.

I start work tomorrow so disposable income is in the works soon. I'll be able to treat my friends to food and stuff :D
I made a bunch of shit for the bake sale that went on at the workplace and it raised $30. Not bad considering I was the only one with goods (my mother didn't read the whole poster and thus didn't note that it was held at lunchtime, she was a whole 7 hours late). My own personal bake-sale! The proceeds were to go to the cancer research fund, except they didnt. Apparently the bosses think I should have the money because of the trouble I went through and the cost of the ingredients. That's shit. I'm trying to get my mother to give the money back but they're making it hard. I'll find a way though.
And of course none of this is of any intrest but I felt I should at least update to prove that I'm alive despite my many absences.

So I haven't been on the comp since I burned my hand. Wanted to try and heal y'know? Well, I only managed to hurt myself more. I was cooking dinner last night and managed to slice the thumb of my other hand open. I don't know how I'm supposed to cook for the bake sale tomorrow, I HAD PLANS DAMMIT!

I seriously need to be padded at all times.

Spent all-day Saturday with my mother hanging around downtown. She had to get a haircut and I needed to get some clothes for work. Shopping is NEVER on my "fun things to do" list. I swear I get a migraine every time :(
I did get to see Sin City though :D and dudes, Clive Owen and Mickey Rourke kicked ass! and I ate chicken teriyaki...which left me slightly ill, it still tasted damn good though. It figures though that the only day we got to go out in months had to be a day where it rained the whole damn time. Gah!
Went shopping again yesterday too. Yay? nay. All was well until I made the roast beef for dinner. I was taking the pan out of the 400degree oven and put it on the top so I could check for rareness but Tammy caught my attention. I turned around to see what she was up to then turned back and grabbed the handle to move the pan,
COMPLETELY forgetting that it was just in a very hot oven for close to an hour. Now my right hand's all blistery and I can't bend my fingers :'( At least the swellings gone from yesterday. That roast better have been damn tasty.
It's nice to know that I'm back to my regularly scheduled clumsiness :p

Sporadic updates are me.
I've actually left the house a couple of times this week so yey!
I resolve to go camping this summer. I wanted to go last summer but it didn't work out. I like sleeping on dirt but it's the campfire and outdoorsiness that calls to me. There are 48 natural parks in Quebec to choose from so I've got my work cut out for me to choose a good one with many sites to see and activities. You just watch, I'll end up going to a crap one on the reserve that's full of campers and annoying 8 year old boys (like when I was younger). Blah.

Ya'know, with all the stuff I'm planning this year it'll be a wonder if anything actually will get done.

I recieved an email dated a couple of days ago telling me I'm signed up for "Sydney Agents" mailing list message thing. I have no friggen clue what this is but it has something to do with the Australian branch of the Cordon Bleu. Wtf? *is clueless* Does anyone have ANY idea what this is?
